Job summary

IT Landes Company, LLC is seeking a Special Projects HVAC Mechanic with 3+ years of concrete experience in commercial HVAC systems. You will work with detailed prints created by designers and foremen to ensure timely, accurate execution of projects.

The role involves installing copper refrigerant lines for VRF units, brazing and soldering, and handling duct work from rough-in to GRDs. You will also prepare material lists and uphold professional ethics on every job site.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in the commercial HVAC industry.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and submittal sheets.
• Ability to perform basic trade math for proper installation.
• EPA/OSHA certifications are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC install-related work on commercial sites.
• Install copper refrigerant lines for large VRF units including brazing and soldering.
• Proficient with duct system installations from equipment rough to GRDs.
• Forecast material lists for foreman as needed.
• Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically.

We are looking for a Special Project HVAC Mechanic who is looking for an exciting new career with an industry leader that’s been in the business since 1929.

Summary:

• The Special Projects HVAC Mechanic work with, learn, and oversee numerous systems, parts and mechanisms. A successful candidate will have three or more years of demonstrable experience. Our designers and draftsmen provide detailed prints that our mechanics and foremen use to get the work done on time and according to plan.

Primary Duties:

• Performing various HVAC install related jobs on our commercial sites
• Perform installation of copper refrigerant lines for large VRF units including brazing and soldering
• Proficient at most duct system installations from equipment rough into GRDs
• Capable of looking ahead and providing foreman a material list as needed
• Continuously represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concerns.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform basic trade related math calculations for proper installation of equipment
• Must possess the ability to read and understand blueprints, specification and submittal sheets
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and lift heavy objects
• General understanding of OSHA regulations
• Must be able to work with hand and power tool
• Basic understanding of installation, HVAC systems, and operating control systems
• Three or more years of experience specific to the commercial HVAC industry
• EPA/OSHA certifications are beneficial but not required
