Job Details
The Interventional/Special Procedures Technologist will provide proficient technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra- and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Acts as a patient/family educator, advocate, and liaison.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized technical skills in vascular, non-vascular, and interventional procedures.
• Participate in the diagnosis and treatment of invasive procedures.
• Assist radiologists and nursing teams during interventional procedures.
• Maintain competency in operating all radiographic equipment, including C-arm, O-arm, Hybrid Equipment Rooms, Power Injector, and Interventional suites.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology.
• NYDOH License required.
• ARRT Certification required.
• BLS/CPR Certification by American Heart Association required.
• One or more years of experience as an OR x-ray technologist in a high-volume setting preferred.
• Interventional radiology experience preferred.

Salary Range
