Summary: Patrols and monitors organization buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other illegal activities. Possesses arrest powers while on duty; provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Engages in public relation activities; maintains and troubleshoots access control and video systems; plans and implements officer training certifications and programs. Supervises contracted and per diem staff, Public Safety dispatchers, and transportation staff assigned to Public Safety. Duties include, but are not limited to, the qualification and potential use of firearms.
