Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Special Operations Nurse Case Manager / Case Manager (Part-Time) for the National Capital Region. The role requires nursing or case management expertise to analyze complex cases for Department of Defense beneficiaries, with a focus on cost-effective, evidence-based care and coordination across providers.

The position demands U.S. citizenship, eligibility for Secret/Top Secret clearance, and current licensure as an RN or LCSW.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Secret or Top Secret clearance eligibility.
• Current RN or LCSW license in the U.S.
• Minimum 2 years nursing or case management experience.
• Certification as a case manager (e.g., CCM, CMAC, ANCC) or obtain within first year.
• Experience in patient education and managing complex medical, psychosocial, financial problems.
• Ability to coordinate with health care providers and negotiate services.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and communicate data for health assessments to develop time-sensitive treatment plans.
• Assess patients via telephone using established protocols to provide cost-effective care.
• Oversee discharge-planning activities to ensure timely and coordinated care.
• Provide assistance to health care finders to identify referral needs.
• Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines and quality/risk management requirements.
