Job summary

KBR Careers seeks a Special Operations Operational Psychologist for the AFSOC unit at Fort Bragg, NC. The role provides expertise in clinical and operational psychology, develops resiliency programs, and supports readiness and performance of SOF personnel in high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities include assessment, coaching, crisis response, data analysis, and program development; requires PhD/PsyD, clearance, and board-certified licensure; US citizenship; relocation to Fort Bragg.

Qualifications

• US citizenship
• Secret or Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
• PhD or PsyD from APA-accredited institution in clinical or counseling psychology
• Completion of APA-accredited internship/residency
• Post-doctoral experience in operational psychology (preferred in DoD or IC)
• Active license to practice psychology in at least one U.S. state or territory
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Experience in clinical psychology services and related trainings
• Training in critical incident/stress trauma interventions

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise, consultation, and direct support in assessment and selection of personnel and performance enhancement
• Conduce a full spectrum of psychological assessments and interpret results
• Conduct neuropsychological screening and analyze trends in psychological health
• Manage referrals for behavioral health care and oversee dispositions
• Deliver professional development and leadership education to SOF personnel
• Provide crisis response and follow-up care
• Assist in personnel selection feedback to unit leadership
• Oversee program validation, research, and process improvements
• Maintain knowledge of organizational psychology, performance optimization, and ethics
