Job summary

KBR seeks a Special Operations Psychological/Mental Health Technician to be based onsite at Fort Bragg, NC, supporting outpatient behavioral health activities under licensed professionals.

Applicants must be a US citizen, capable of obtaining a security clearance, and hold an associate degree or equivalent mental health training, with at least 3 years of psychiatric technician experience. BCLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Secret clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.
• Associate degree or commensurate level of training in mental health/psychiatric technician.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a psychiatric technician.
• Able to de-escalate crisis situations and provide mental-health support.
• Must maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide wide range of behavioral health interventions under supervision.
• Conduct intakes and assist with care and treatment of psychiatric patients.
• Perform routine and nonstandard tasks with guidance from supervisors.
• Observe patients for behavioral patterns and report to licensed staff.
• Lead individual or group therapy sessions as directed by professionals.
• Prepare documentation and forms for new patients and appointments.
