Job summary

KBR is seeking a Special Operations Psychological/Mental Health Technician in Cannon, NM, to support outpatient behavioral health activities for POTFF. The role partners with licensed professionals to advance mission readiness and performance through holistic health programs.

Essential duties include clinical intake, therapy sessions, data collection, and program operations. Candidates must have a Secret Clearance, a related associate degree or training, and at least 3 years of psychiatric

Qualifications

• Must have, or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• An associate degree or commensurate level of training, e.g. military mental health technician, for a psychiatric technician or mental health program assistant.
• The contractor shall have no less than 3 years’ experience as a psychiatric technician.
• Must attend psychiatric technicians’ training which provides a foundation to psychology/social work.
• Must attend training to intervene and restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal patients.
• Must maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Must provide front and back proof of all training/certs/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of behavioral health interventions from prevention to treatment under supervision.
• Conduct intakes, assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients, and counsel clients.
• Lead or assist group therapy sessions under supervision of a licensed professional.
• Prepare daily correspondence, training agendas and clinical appointments.
• Maintain monthly statistics, attend Case Review Committee, and manage attendance rosters.
• Coordinate and reserve meeting locations and prepare agendas for upcoming weeks.
• Prepare open/closed case reports for outpatient records and maintain a resource library.
