Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking an experienced law enforcement leader for an internal posting serving statewide operations within the South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS).

The role acts as assistant coordinator for all SCDPS Special Operations and supervises training for A-CERT, CERT, BPS, CIT, and Honor Guard Units, while coordinating firearms, survivability, and tactical training across the division.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assists in the training of the Department's Advanced Civil Emergency Response Team (A-CERT), Civil Emergency Response Team (CERT), Bureau of Protective Services (BPS), Critical Incident Team (CIT), and Honor Guard Units.
• Assists in the development and delivery of firearms, officer survival, Active Shooter training, tactical training, mobile field force training, and physical fitness training and testing for all Troopers/Officers.
• Enforces SC vehicle and criminal laws.
