Job summary

The State of South Carolina is posting an internal opportunity for a Senior Special Operations Coordinator within the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The role oversees statewide Special Operations, coordinating A-CERT, CERT, BPS, CIT, and Honor Guard training, and ensuring confidentiality and leadership across divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education/experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Class 1 Law Enforcement experience.
• Current member of SCDPS A-CERT with ability to instruct Firearms, Patrol Rifle, and Mobile Field Force training.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the SCHP Special Operations Unit assistant coordinator for all SCDPS Special Operations.
• Supervises and assists in the training of A-CERT, CERT, BPS, CIT, and Honor Guard Units.
• Enforces state laws and regulations and coordinates training across divisions.
