Job summary

Perry Township Schools in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Transportation Special Needs Supervisor to meet the daily needs of our special needs students and staff within the Transportation department. You will serve as the primary contact for administration, parents/guardians, and staff regarding special needs transportation and oversee specialized routing as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or comparable experience.
Valid Indiana CDL Class B with P and S endorsements preferred.
Experience in transportation management or previous transportation experience.
Strong leadership and communication with stakeholders.
Knowledge of special needs transportation regulations.
FLSA Exempt status.

Responsibilities

Act as first point of contact for special needs transportation for administration, families, and staff.
Oversee specialized routing and assist in routing as required.
Maintain data on special needs students and communicate with drivers.
Coordinate with dispatch and fleet supervisor to ensure safe, timely routes.
Hire and supervise special needs drivers and monitors.
Conduct annual performance reviews for drivers and monitors.
