Job summary

Grateley House School, part of Cambian Group, is seeking a dedicated support assistant to help pupils aged 11–19 with autism spectrum disorder. You will assist in lessons, help with resources, and accompany students on college visits. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

Experience in a classroom is desirable but not essential; a driving licence is preferred to help with transport to external activities. GCSE English and Maths are required, and safeguarding checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Previous classroom experience desirable but not essential; full training provided.
• Preferred driving licence to support school vehicle transport.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons and during non-structured time.
• Transport and accompany students to college visits (driving required).
• Assist teachers with preparation of work, resources, and equipment.
• Support students during on- and off-site activities.
• Complete paperwork to record observations and interventions.
