Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Observes all traffic laws, safety regulations, policies and procedures regarding school buses.
• Performs pre-trip inspections of assigned bus.
• Follows assigned schedule and notifies authorities in case of mechanical issues or lateness.
• Operates bus safely and courteously.
• Maintains appropriate student management and reports incidents to supervisors.
• Works with administration and parents to handle transport-related issues.
• Keeps assigned bus clean.
• Checks bus for defects and unattended items.
• Maintains a valid Alabama Bus Driver’s CDL and good driving record.
