Rochester, NH – ESS is hiring a Paraprofessional for High Intensive Needs in the SAU 54 district. The role supports students with special needs, under the supervision of teachers, to promote academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities include instructional reinforcement, supervision, and assisting with daily tasks across classrooms and activities. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, NH Paraeducator II certification or higher, and experience with autism or related conditions.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with students with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication with students, teachers, and staff.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Aufgaben

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups.
• Assist with classroom management and general supervision of the class.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs pertaining to educational needs, social-emotional, behavioral development, fine and gross motor skills to foster independence.
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans.
• Assist with the physical and minimal health needs of the children, which may include lifting, feeding, toileting/diapering, and personal hygiene.
