Job summary

Tennyson Center for Children is seeking a Para-Professional to support behavior management and educational goals for students with diverse needs on our Colorado campus. The role provides one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and helps maintain a safe, therapeutic learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Colorado driver\'s license required or eligible to obtain
• Pre-employment drug test, FBI fingerprint check, CBI criminal records check, child abuse registry check, motor vehicle record check, academic record verification, and reference checks required
• In-person on-campus work in a school/treatment environment

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans and IEPs as directed by the clinician and teacher
• Provide tutoring and small group instruction to support academic and social-emotional learning
• Provide a therapeutic balance of hierarchy and affiliation, understanding the emotional needs of the children
• Assist with behavior management strategies and maintain engagement with educational and clinical staff
• Complete required trainings (QMAP, TCI, NM) and keep them current
• Support quality improvement efforts by adhering to Tennyson Center policies and procedures
