Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and one year of experience with children, or a high school diploma with ParaPro certification.
• Must pass a thorough background investigation.
• First Aid & CPR certification and Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral, instructional, vocational and developmental support to students.
• Apply basic behavioral management practices and assist in teaching problem-solving.
• Assist with behavior management programs and monitor specific behavior plans.
• Assist with crisis interventions and restraining violent students as needed.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality and assist with IEP implementation.
• Attend district professional development classes.
