Job summary

The Para-Professional at Tennyson Center for Children in Colorado provides individualized academic and social-emotional support, following IEPs and treatment plans within the educational and treatment team. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and we hire great people to strengthen the organization.

You will help create a safe, engaging learning environment, implement behavior management strategies, and support students with various needs while collaborating with clinicians and teachers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must obtain Colorado driver's license.
• Pre-employment drug test and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans and IEPs as directed by clinician and teacher.
• Provide tutoring and engaging learning environments for students.
• Apply therapeutic balance of hierarchy and affiliation to support emotional needs.
• Follow behavior management procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist with classroom management with educational/clinical staff.
• Ensure positive behavior supports at milieu and individual levels.
• Complete required trainings (QMAP, TCI, NM) as a condition of employment.
• Support quality improvement through policy adherence.
