Job summary

Roosevelt School District 66 is seeking a Classroom/Student Aide to support students in a school setting. The role assists with health, hygiene and learning tasks and provides classroom support to teachers.

Needs include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience with special needs students is preferred. This is a nine-month, hourly position with benefits per district policy.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting children and special needs students.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
• Capable of working in a classroom with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with health, hygiene and learning tasks as needed.
• Escort students to/from classrooms and monitor conduct.
• Document issues and complete required reports daily.
• Assist with feeding, toileting and dressing as required.
• Support students using assistive equipment per needs.
• Clean and sanitize rooms and surfaces.
• Assist with learning tasks and IEPs.
• Communicate with parents, students and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Enforce district policies and report concerns to supervisor.
