Job summary

Roosevelt School District 66 is seeking a Classroom/Student Aide to support students in school classrooms with personal health, hygiene and learning tasks. This nine‑month, hourly position reports to the Principal and assists teachers with instructional activities and student supervision.

Responsibilities include guiding students, monitoring conduct, assisting with health-related tasks, and ensuring safety and confidentiality in classroom operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Experience with severely handicapped students preferred.
• Ability to assist with health and hygiene tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist pre-school and elementary students with personal health and hygiene tasks and learning activities.
• Guide students to and from classrooms; monitor conduct and take attendance.
• Assist with clerical duties and data entry as needed.
• Support teachers with lessons and classroom activities.
• Assist students with hygiene and self-help skills as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms and equipment.
