Job summary

Southwest is seeking a Head Start Classroom Aide to support instruction in a preschool setting, assisting the lead teacher with activities for up to 20 children. The role involves home visits, encouraging parent involvement, and coordinating with staff on enrollment and family needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Start Teacher in carrying out a program of instruction for a preschool classroom of up to 20 children.
• Serve as Teacher Assistant in absence of regular Teacher Assistant; make home visits.
• Encourage parent involvement and work with staff concerning enrollment and family needs.
