Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in East Bay is seeking a Special Needs Caregiver to support children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. The role offers flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time options and competitive pay.

Responsibilities include one-to-one behavior intervention, daily activities support, personal care tasks, and data collection per the Behavior Support Plan. Requires HS diploma, BACs, CPR/First Aid, and TB test update.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• Experience with special needs and challenging behaviors is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification for adults and children is required.
• TB test updated; must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services.
• Assist with daily activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, and motor areas.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, meals, dressing, and ambulation.

Maxim Healthcare Services in East Bay is hiring for a Special Needs Caregiver to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children
• Updated TB test
• Must be at least 18 years of age
