Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in East Bay is hiring a Direct Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will provide one-to-one behavior intervention services and assist with daily activities and personal care tasks in a supportive environment.

The role offers flexible scheduling (PT and FT), ongoing supervision from a BCBA, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification current.
• TB test up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, and motor domains.
• Assist with personal care activities and meal preparation as needed.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals per Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children
• Updated TB test
• Must be at least 18 years of age
