Prairiland ISD's Prairiland Jr High School in Pattonville, Texas is hiring a Special Needs Aide to support students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom under the supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with IEP implementation, personal care, behavior management, wheelchair transfers, feeding, and daily routines; requires a HS diploma or GED, and a Texas aide certificate or progress toward one. Two years of prior experience with children is preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of college preferred.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate or eligibility to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Help meet the individual needs of students including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting and positioning, and assisting with personal care.
• Help manage student behavior, intervene during crises, and assist with safety as needed.
• Recognize differences in student needs and adapt interaction accordingly.
• Work with students to develop motor skills and conduct instructional exercises under teacher direction.
• Assist during lunch, bus, and playground; keep teacher informed of student needs.
