Job summary

Poteet ISD Intermediate seeks a Special Education Life Skills Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, on-site role supports students with disabilities under the supervision of a certified teacher and principal, assisting with instructional activities and behavior management.

Qualifications include a Texas educational aide certificate or meeting NCLB requirements, and 48 college hours or Treasuring Paraprofessionals Training.

Qualifications

• Must have 48 college hours or the Treasuring Paraprofessionals Training.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Meet NCLB requirements.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: help teacher prepare materials, maintain neat classroom, assist with inventory, records, and substitute orientation.
• Student Management: assist students with physical disabilities, personal care, behavior management, and supervision throughout the day.
• Other: maintain confidentiality, participate in staff events, follow safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
