Job summary

CommunityAmerica Federal Credit Union is seeking a Special Loans Specialist to monitor, maintain, and process complex loan products including ARMs, balloon, MERS, SCRA, construction and escrow-related items.

The role requires knowledge of mortgage products, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Evening hours or travel may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 2 years' experience processing escrow accounts.
• Knowledge of FHA, VA, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHLB and RESPA Guidelines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify ARM data accuracy and process ARM calculations.
• Work daily MERS reports and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Monitor balloon loans and ensure timely borrower letters.
• Understand construction-to-permanent loans and related products.
• Monitor HELOC loans and SCRA protections.
• Update interest on escrow within required timeframes.
• Identify risks and communicate mitigations to management.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve borrower service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
