The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking a Special Investigator to support a territory based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with investigations across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and northwestern Iowa. This role requires investigative experience and the discipline to handle multiple files and travel as needed.

Starting pay ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, with eligibility for an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of investigative experience preferred.
• Courtroom testimony experience at local, state or Federal level.
• Knowledge of civil and criminal law.
• Self-starter with ability to work in non-office settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files with organization.

Responsabilités

• Investigate questionable insurance claims thoroughly and determine if referral to law enforcement is warranted.
• Support investigations across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and northwestern Iowa as needed.

Starting pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Special Investigations Unit is currently seeking a Special Investigator to support a territory based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position is responsible for investigations throughout Minnesota, portions of North Dakota and South Dakota, and northwestern Iowa, where CIC conducts business.

Be Ready To

Thoroughly investigate questionable insurance claims and, if the evidence warrants, a referral to law enforcement.

Be Equipped With

• 5 years or more of investigative experience interacting with law enforcement, public investigative agencies and state governmental agencies preferred
• experience in courtroom testimony on the local, state or Federal level
• knowledge of civil and criminal law
• the ability to self start
• the discipline to work in a non office setting
• the ability to work numerous files at one time, set priorities and stay organized
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• the ability to write thorough and detailed reports
• experience and skills in interviewingknowledge of public speaking skills for training purposes

Relocation and overnight travel may be necessary.
