Provo City is seeking a part-time Recreation Lead to support the Special Events team at the Provo Recreation Center. You will assist the Special Events Coordinator with preparing for, marketing, and managing activities and events for the public.

Provo City is looking for a part-time Recreation Lead to work with the Special Events team at the Provo Recreation Center. This position is responsible for assisting the Special Events Coordinator in preparing for, marketing, and managing the various activities and events provided by the Recreation Center to the public. What is the compensation? Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour Part-time Provo City employees are eligible to contribute to individual retirement savings plans through the City (401k, 457, Roth IRA, and/or Traditional IRA) and receive the following perks:
Monday through Saturday. Flexible hours to work around your schedule. Event days are required. Required dates will be discused during the interview. 15 hours per week.
This position requires office work and outdoor recreation work with sun and some adverse weather exposure. May include exposure to high-stress situations or environments , including contact with the public in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances. Requires the ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
