Job summary

The Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter is seeking a Walk Intern to support their Special Events team in Atlanta. Interns will gain hands-on experience in not-for-profit work, helping with events aimed at raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s disease.

This internship is part-time, with flexible scheduling, and offers an opportunity to gain valuable skills in event coordination, team recruitment, and outreach. The ideal candidate should be at least a junior in college, possess strong communication skills, and be enthusiastic about nonprofit work.

Qualifications

• Student actively enrolled in an accredited college or university; transcript required.
• Class standing of at least junior level.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Special Events/Philanthropy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of Walk to End Alzheimer’s events.
• Conduct research and outreach for target audience.
• Assist with recruitment and team retention.

Skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Initiative and self-starting
