Job summary

Qualifications

• Current applicable state EMT certification required.
• BCLS required.
• Current driver's license required.
• National EMT registry preferred.
• 1 to 2 years experience with a 911 service as an EMT required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care at the EMT-D level according to events protocols and state OEMS guidelines.
• Supports paramedic or nurse during transport of patients at the EMT-D level.
• Drives vehicles per events policy and state/local law; ensures passenger safety.
• Keeps vehicle clean and restocked after each event or transport.
• Reports safety hazards to lead paramedic or MCA charge person promptly.
• Documents patient condition and treatment with confidentiality.
• Maintains certifications, skills, continuing education, and in-services.
