Job summary

Duke Health’s Duke Life Flight Event Medicine seeks a Paramedic II to provide ALS medical coverage at events, often during nights and weekends. You will deliver care within the defined paramedic scope and document in the electronic health record, supporting the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include on-site patient care, procedures under medical direction, and ongoing certification maintenance. A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and community outreach is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years ALS Paramedic experience required; 15,000+ calls/year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS level medical coverage at events and direct patient care.
• Monitor patients and document status in EMR system.
• Perform vehicle inspections and minor maintenance as needed.
• Assist with continuing education outreach programs and staff development.
• Maintain certifications and participate in quality improvement activities.
