Special Events Dispatcher

Part-Time

Location: Indiana

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Job Description

We’re hiring Dispatchers responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services. This role involves assigning and routing transportation requests and maintaining clear communication to ensure quality support and care for our customers.

Responsibilities
  1. Implement and understand Emergency Medical Dispatch concepts as per Principles of Emergency Medical Dispatch and AMR standards.
  2. Allocate EMS resources appropriately using decision-making rules and protocols.
  3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all paperwork related to the shift.
  4. Accurately enter data, including State Run Report data as assigned.
  5. Generate and verify reports for accuracy.
  6. Assist in locating incident scenes and selecting the safest, fastest routes using locator aids.
  7. Relay instructions from supervisors and communicate emergency information effectively.
  8. Stay informed about all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  9. Follow established formats when receiving service requests.
  10. Operate and maintain equipment such as computers, 911 systems, recording devices, and telephones.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Preferred: Medical training or telecommunications experience.
  3. Proficient in reading and writing English.
  4. Clear communication skills via radio and telephone.
  5. Accurate recording and reporting abilities.
  6. Competent in using all assigned equipment.
  7. Ability to multitask efficiently.
  8. Good typing skills with speed and accuracy for emergency calls.
  9. Basic understanding of computer applications.
