Freight Agent / Dispatcher job at Sunray Transport, LLC. Orlando, FL. Full Job Description

Transportation service provider located in Orlando, FL. New office offering a remote working opportunity. We are seeking Freight Agents / Dispatchers who do not have an existing customer base. As an independent agent, you solicit freight services from your customers, arrange transportation, dispatch loads to drivers, and monitor their freight to its final destination. We provide all of the back-office administrative and support work so that you can focus on selling and moving freight. We are an asset-based brokerage and trucking company looking to expand our freight agent network. Having a book of business is a plus but not required.

Preferred candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Handle all incoming calls from drivers and customers.
  • Make outbound cold calls to potential customers.
  • Monitor electronic messages for the fleet and respond to driver requests and inquiries.
  • Handle O.S. & D. issues as they arise.
  • Manage all accidents as they occur.
  • Complete all computer work for loaded calls, empty calls, relays, etc.

Requirements:

  • Effective interpersonal skills and behaviors conducive to a service/team-oriented environment (e.g., diplomacy, tact, flexibility, positive approach).
  • Ability to plan, meet deadlines, prioritize, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and creativity in providing solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diplomacy and tact.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week.
  • At least 1 year of experience in B2B telemarketing or inside sales.
  • Previous cold calling experience.
  • Remote home office required.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $240.00 - $1,100.00 per hour
