Job summary

Four Seasons Maui seeks a Special Events Catering Manager to secure and service catering and private events for Social and Corporate markets, driving revenue while upholding Four Seasons standards.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Special Events, you will coordinate with F&B and operations to create memorable experiences, manage client relationships, and ensure seamless event execution.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates a positive, optimistic, solution-oriented attitude in fast-paced environments.
• High level of creativity for designing memorable events that exceed guest expectations.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced client-driven environment.
• Understanding of Salesforce, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
• Maui Liquor Card required.

• Actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries to secure profitable weddings, catering, and events.
• Conduct property tours and entertain planners of meetings, social events, and weddings.

Special Events Catering Manager

The Special Events Catering Manager is responsible for securing and servicing catering and special event business within the Social and Corporate markets through proactive sales, relationship building, prospecting, and promotion. This role focuses on maximizing revenue and profitability while delivering exceptional service and upholding Four Seasons standards. The Special Events Catering Manager will be responsible for selling and coordinating private events and restaurant buyouts, working closely with the Food & Beverage team to create memorable guest experiences and ensure seamless event execution. This position plays a key role in driving event revenue while maintaining strong client relationships from initial inquiry through event completion.

The Special Events Catering Manager reports directly to the Assistant Director of Special Events.

What You Will Do

• Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event. Prepare a monthly booking report. Ensure all information is noted in Golden Sales and Catering for accurate account information.
• Actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable wedding, catering, and special events business. Collaborate with clients and operational partners to develop creative event concepts and memorable experiences that differentiate the resort and drive guest satisfaction. Maintain an active trace/follow-up system on all inquiries and personal sales calls.
• Conduct property tours and entertain planners of meetings, social events, and weddings.
