Job summary

Rio Rancho Middle School, part of Rio Rancho Public Schools, is seeking an Educational Assistant/Substitute for the 2026-2027 school year. This Tier 3 role supports students in social communications and district programs, with a 190-day contract and a starting date of immediately.

Qualified applicants must hold or obtain NM Level 3 Educational Assistant License and a Substitute License, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold or obtain NM Level 3 K-12 Educational Assistant License.
• Must hold or obtain NM Substitute License.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and professionals with instructional material.
• Support in one-on-one and small group activities.
• Assist in transferring students and caring for student needs.
• Supervise students in various school settings (playground, cafeteria, hallways).
• Perform substitute duties as assigned.
• Contribute to adherence to district policies and ethical guidelines.
