Job summary

Rio Rancho Public Schools (RRPS) - Special Services seeks an Educational Assistant for Tier 3 Social Communication in secondary settings. This 190-day contract supports social communication classrooms and related programs.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers, supporting one-on-one and small group activities, and helping with daily living activities as needed. Licensing requirements apply for NM PED Level 3, plus substitute license.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain NM PED Level 3 K-12 Educational Assistant License.
• Must hold or be able to obtain NM PED Substitute License.
• Transcripts or paraprofessional exam may be required by RRPS.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and professionals with preparation and/or delivery of instructional material.
• Assist in one-on-one and small group activities.
• Assist in transferring students and caring for student needs as needed.
• Comply with district policies and regulations and participate in staff activities.
• Perform substitute duties as assigned.
