Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold or obtain NM PED Level 3 K-12 Educational Assistant License.
• Hold or obtain NM PED Substitute License.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers, specialists, librarians, school nurse, and other staff across regular and special education classrooms.
• Prepare and deliver instructional materials.
• Support one‑on‑one and small group activities.
• Assist with student transfers.
• Assist with caring for student needs as described above.
• Help implement student goals and objectives.
• Manage or redirect disruptive or combative students.
• Supervise students in playground, cafeteria, restrooms, and hallways.
• Participate in staff meetings and in‑service training.
• Adhere to New Mexico Administrative Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession, RRPS Employee Standards of Conduct, and all relevant regulations.
• Perform clerical duties for teachers.
• Serve as a substitute when assigned.
• Perform additional duties as required by district.
