Job summary

Scarborough Public Schools is seeking compassionate Educational Technicians to join our Special Education Team. This position involves working directly with students in both one-on-one and small group settings to provide instructional and behavioral support.

We require Maine Certification for Education Technicians I-III and a CHRC fingerprint check. The role supports students with IEP goals, data collection, and collaboration with teachers to ensure access to the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Assist in implementing IEPs and supporting students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction in academic, social, and life skills.
• Support inclusive classrooms and modify materials to meet diverse needs.
• Implement behavioral support plans and monitor progress.
• Collect data and collaborate with the special education team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEP goals for students with disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and supervision during transitions, lunch, and activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and other staff to ensure appropriate support.
• Assist with personal care tasks if necessary and stay updated on best practices.
