Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools seeks a Teacher Assistant: Special Education to support instruction for students with disabilities in an ED Regional Program setting. Under the teacher's direction, you will assist with supervision, documentation, and implementing instructional plans.

You will help with mobility, personal care, data collection, and collaboration with IEP teams and service providers, adapting activities to meet diverse needs and ensure safety and progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with additional college credits or paraprofessional assessment.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to follow IEP goals and support instructional plans.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials to reinforce classroom objectives.
• Assist in implementing instructional programs and provide various instructional activities.
• Participate in IEP goal implementation and behavior plans with the team.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain data collection on activities.
• Attend professional trainings and assist with health care and personal care tasks as needed.
• Support mobility and daily living needs, including transporting students as required.
