Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking a Temporary Support Assistant to assist teachers in addressing the needs of students with various disabilities. The role includes supervising students, supporting their personal hygiene, and implementing instructional plans.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be capable of working with diverse groups of students in various settings across the county. Qualifications in child development are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to assist teachers with special needs students.
• Experience working with physically and emotionally disabled students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of students throughout the day.
• Support students with personal hygiene and self-help skills.
• Observe and manage student behavior according to approved procedures.
