Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• To work in a Title I-funded school, 48 college credit hours or a passing score on a paraprofessional assessment issued by ETS or NES is required.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials to support classroom objectives under the teacher's direction.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans and provides instruction in individual and group activities.
• Participates in implementing IEP goals and behavioral plans for students with disabilities.
• Performs clerical tasks to prepare instructional materials.
• Maintains data collection and documentation of activities and assistance provided to students.
• Attends meetings, professional development, and trainings.
• Assist with health care tasks and personal care as required and assist mobility needs.
