Uncommon Schools in New Jersey is seeking an Uncommon Special Education teacher committed to supporting students with diverse needs in urban schools. You will develop accommodations, advocate for students, and collaborate with families to implement IEPs and 504 plans while maintaining high expectations.

You will engage in weekly professional development, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a culture of excellence in teaching and leadership within a high‑performing charter school network.

Responsibilities

• Instruction: modify and differentiate an inclusive curriculum and develop 504/IEP accommodations.
• Special Education responsibilities: monitor trends in student work and prepare goals for IEP meetings; deliver pull‑out, push‑in, small group and one‑on‑one instruction.
• School culture: build relationships with students and families and participate in weekly school‑wide meetings and professional development.
