You will work with families, general education teachers, and school leaders to analyze progress and differentiate instruction, while building an empowering classroom culture and meeting NJ state certification eligibility requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Enthusiasm for collaborating with internal and external partners in the best interest of students.
• Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities (1–2 years preferred).
• Academic expertise in Special Education or related fields of study.
• Must meet NJ certification eligibility requirements; certification within NJ within a reasonable period.

Aufgaben

• Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum that emphasizes diversity.
• Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 and IEPs with appropriate accommodations and modifications.
• Create an inclusive and safe environment where students feel empowered to become self-guided learners.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to analyze trends in student work and assessments and ensure IEP compliance.
• Gather academic growth data and write goals for annual IEP meetings.
• Teach pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction with differentiated strategies.
• Build positive relationships with students and partner with families to ensure resources meet learning needs.
• Engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions; participate in weekly school-wide meetings.
