Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will diagnose and address learning, social, and emotional gaps, collaborating with school teams and families to deliver SESI’s evidence-based learning models and PBIS framework. The role emphasizes smaller class sizes, data-driven progress tracking, and a commitment to professional growth across SESI’s national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including to and from locations within the school.
