Job summary

SESI is seeking a dedicated special education teacher to support K-12 students who require additional supports in a inclusive classroom setting. You will collaborate with school teams to implement SESI’s evidence-based learning approaches and CASE PBIS framework.

You will develop individualized lesson plans, manage behavior, and document student progress to help each learner shine and thrive within SESI’s supportive environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.

• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
• Maintain student documents such as individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
