Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Valid Texas special education teaching credential.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models and curricula to teach knowledge and skills and meet students’ needs.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation and safety procedures when necessary.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students during movement to and from locations within the school.

Education
