Job summary

Career Links seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person position for the 2026–2027 school year. You will develop and monitor IEPs, collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team, and deliver instruction aligned to state standards while supporting students with diverse learning needs.

A Texas teaching certificate with SPED certification is required, and experience with IDEA/ARD processes is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with Special Education certification.
Knowledge of IDEA, ARD processes, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, admins, and multidisciplinary teams.
Provide instruction aligned with state standards and student goals.
Adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse needs.
Maintain documentation and compliance with federal/state/district requirements.
Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success.
Monitor progress and communicate with families and educational team.
Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management.
