Career Links in Texas (Waco) is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person position for the 2026–2027 school year. You will support students with diverse learning needs within a collaborative school setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education, valid TEA certification, and knowledge of IDEA/ARD processes and IEP development. Benefits include a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with Special Education certification (TEA).
• Knowledge of IDEA, ARD processes, IEP development, and compliance.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide specialized instruction aligned with state standards and individualized student goals.
• Adapt curriculum, instructional methods, and materials to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families and educational team members.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques.
