Job summary

Career Links seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person position for the 2026–2027 school year. You will develop and monitor IEPs, collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team, and deliver instruction aligned to state standards while supporting students with diverse learning needs.

A Texas teaching certificate with SPED certification is required, and experience with IDEA/ARD processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with Special Education certification.
• Knowledge of IDEA, ARD processes, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, admins, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide instruction aligned with state standards and student goals.
• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse needs.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with federal/state/district requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success.
• Monitor progress and communicate with families and educational team.
