Job summary
The Margaret Murphy Centers for Children in Auburn, ME seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our year-round day treatment program serving students with developmental disabilities and emotional disorders. You will work one-on-one and in small groups, guided by ABA principles, to meet educational and behavioral goals.
Required: Bachelor’s degree and 282/286 DOE certification (or conditionally certified) and enrolled for full certification; experience with relevant populations; strong
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or better in Education or related field.
- 282/286 DOE certification or conditional certification, enrolled to complete full certification.
- Experience with children with developmental and/or emotional disabilities.
- Excellent teaching skills 1:1 and small group.
- Proficiency with Safety Care strategies.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Strong time management to meet deadlines and support students.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with students to meet educational and behavioral goals.
- Lead small group instructional activities.
- Collaborate with ABA team to ensure consistent strategies.
- Support students directly and maintain a safe, supportive classroom.
