Maranacook Community Middle School is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a Specialized ABA Based Program focused on Behavior and Life Skills for middle school students. The role includes implementing individualized instruction and behavior plans to support academic and functional growth.
The successful candidate will lead a team of support staff, collaborate with clinical teammates, and engage with families and community partners to foster social, emotional, and educational development.
To implement a Behavior/Life Skills Specialized ABA Based Program. Expertise in delivering individualized specially designed instruction for students with special needs and implementing behavior plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Past experience in improving academic and functional skill deficits and working with students who may display challenging behaviors. Successful candidate will lead a team of support staff professionals and collaborate with various clinical teammates and building-based stakeholders.
Experience working and/or implementing a Behavior/Life Skills Specialized Program and a true desire to support middle level students with functional skill deficits.
Teacher of Students with Disabilities (282) K-8 and/or Teacher of Severely Impaired Students (286) K-12 through the Maine Department of Education. All professional staff serve as an Advisor. Advisors are assigned a group of students with the goal to support the social, emotional, and academic growth of each advisee by building and sustaining relationships with advisees, parents, and community. This position will require someone to co-advise with another middle school staff member.
