Job summary

Middleborough Public Schools is seeking an experienced K-12 special education professional to implement explicit, multi-sensory instruction across content areas for students in self-contained and general education settings.

The role requires collaboration with teachers, specialists, and families, along with data-driven progress monitoring and IEP documentation to support student learning and transition goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with direct/explicit academic instruction for students in self-contained and general education settings.
• Familiarity with behavior therapy techniques; Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs.
• Assess and report progress toward behavioral, academic, and social goals; prepare IEPs/progress reports.
• Serve as contact for designated caseload; manage team processes and communication with families and providers.
• Maintain a positive behavioral support system and data-driven instruction planning.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure IEP compliance and efficient use of resources.
• Consult with staff and administrators on instructional issues as a Team member.
• Record progress and prepare annual reviews and related paperwork.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required.
